Keyboard cover randomly not working

※ Download: Microsoft surface keyboard not working

Have carried out all restarts including factory reboot but still no operation. The support guy called me in 30 seconds and was able to resolve the issue in 2 minutes. Also appreciate the dedicated screen lock and Action Center buttons.

Step 2: After you release the buttons, wait 10 seconds Step 3: Press and release the power button to turn your Surface back on AND somehow this worked. More This keyboard is probably the best keyboard I've ever used. I originally thought that my keyboard was broken.

Keyboard cover randomly not working - Try your keyboard on another device or vice versa. I just wish it had backlighting.

Hi, I got my Surface Book twice replaced during the warranty period. Started with loudspeaker problems and the first replacement had screen issues. Now the 2nd replacements has problems with the keyboard. I am getting usually in each session a message that the USB Driver is not working correctly and was not recognized, resulting in a complete loss of functionality of the keyboard and I have to resort to an external one. Strangely it is very inconsistent when it happens, sometimes I can type away for hours, sometimes it stops right after startup. Anyone got similar problems or has a solution. Microsoft surfaces couldn't come up with a good answer and now my warranty expired. I like the hardware, though not sure, I would buy a Surface again, remembering all the problems. Uwe I have the same problem too. I have been using it for 2 weeks and it just start about a day ago. I can't really tell if it's a hardware or software problem. The weird thing is that my FN, Caps and all the function roll keys all still working. Usually I have to wait about 5 min and then it will fix itself.

In fact, it happened to me today for the 10th time; I am now using this coffee-scented keyboard to type this message. I shut the Microsoft surface keyboard not working down and managed to use gravity to let the liquid come off gradually, after that I put it under the sun heat to get it dry but as you would imagine under the touch screen there is still traces and all sort of shapes created by the liquid moving underneath the screen. I noticed that whatever it was the on-screen keyboard did the same thing. This means that weather you want the multimedia keys to be on all the time or you want access to the F keys, with a simple click of the FN key you have one or the other. I find it can be difficult for me to find the arrow keys without looking down because I usually judge it off the gap between the keys. Surface Type Cover or Keyboard conveys a standout among other encounters with regards to writing. I did try to delete keyboard device from Device Manager, reinstall latest drivers, etc. Since your Surface is new you may already have them. When I am using the battery in my surface, and it drains to 0%, so one would assume it should switch to the 100% available through the power keyboard, my surface turns off. This will solve your Microsoft surface keyboard Not working issues. More Amazing build quality.
